Before we were given the assignment. We could freely choose a product to configure. After a bit of thought, I decided on a kitchen configurator.
So for this project. Since I found the entire node programming part quite difficult. I reserched for a solution. During the beginning I found the "variant manager". Which supposedly could easily just swap materials on upon pressing the mesh you wish to change. Though with a tad bit of programming. But my problem was, which I later learned, that I spawned another pawn on gametime. Apparently, that does not mesh well. So the controls stopped working. Decided to make it from the ground up instead.
As the deadline was coming up. I only had a few functions. Which you can se during the showreel. But halfway, during the kitchen showcase, I at least had added a daylight cycle and a toggle for bench lights to closer imitate a real kitchen.
Ultimately, It turned out pretty decent.
